Photo Manipulations
Fresh out of GMU, I started my career in the digital arts as a photo editor. While most of my work involved making a photograph that looked as unaltered as possible, sometimes I had the chance to explore another creative avenue, photo manipulation. Here are some examples where I was given the chance to create the composition, aesthetics, and layout of photographs.
"Bear and Berg" A composite made for Johnny Johnson. The bear was added to the scene of an iceberg and the lighting, color, shadow, and reflection made to match. Used with permission.
"Futuristic Building" A skyscraper in Atlanta using HDR and various effects to manipulate the aesthetic.
"Marta Tracks" Marta train tracks using HDR and various effects to manipulate the aesthetic.
"Sycamore Row" A mock book cover composition using several original photographs.
"2 Bears" A composite image created for Johnny Johnson, of the same bear made to look like two different bears. Used with permission.
"Ender's Game A mock book cover composition using multiple original photographs.
"Identical" A mock book cover composition using several original photographs.
"Tall Building" Skyscraper in Atlanta using HDR and effects to manipulate the aesthetic.
"Racketeer" A mock book cover composition using several original photographs.
"Stranded" A photo manipulation created for Johnny Johnson, where I added the bears to the ice, including the lighting, shadows, color, and reflections. Used with permission.
